Before Union
Fletcher transferred to Union from Stranmillis College where he played two years of soccer. He posted the most minutes played last season. Fletcher prepped at Regent High School where he played soccer. He also played club soccer for Ards Youth FC, Lisburn Distillery FC, Sirocco Works FC and Queens FC. Fletcher also played cricket, ran track and field and cross country while in high school. He helped lead his Ards Youth FC team to the U17 League Cup Title. Fletcher was named player the year as a senior in high school. He was a three time player of the year for Ards Youth FC, and was named player of the year, player's player of the year and young player of the year for the Sirrocco Works FC. Off the field, Fletcher was the marketing director for Young Enterprise and won the marking award at the trade fair.
