Before Union
Guiler, a 6-foot 150 lb. forward, prepped at Riverdale (Tenn.) High School where he played four seasons of soccer. He helped Riverdale to a record of 53-18-7 over his career, including class AAA quarterfinal appearances in 2010 and 2011 and a state semifinal appearance in 2012. Guiler’s high school team earned district season titles in 2009, 2010 and 2012, while earning district tourney titles in 2009 and 2012. They earned region titles in 2011 and 2012. Guiler was named THSSCA and TSWA All-State twice, Tennessean first team All-Midstate twice and all-district offensive MVP twice. He was named ESPN High School Spring State All-Star and Daily News Journal Player of the Year as a junior. Guiler posted 45 goals and 21 assists in 66 career high school matches, including 21 goals as a senior. He was named as Riverdale’s Team MVP and Best Attacker as a junior and senior. Off the field, Guiler is active in mission trips as he has participated in four different trips to various places. He is the son of Randy and Gwen Guiler.
