Ranera prepped at IES Corona de Aragon where he played soccer. He played club soccer for Stadium Casablanca, a top club team in Zaragoza. He helped lead his team championships in Division de Honor Juvenil Group 3, LIga Nacional Juvenil, and Division de Honor Cadete. Ranera earned the Most Consistency Award.
