Before Union 
Scott prepped at Grange Academy where he played soccer for six years, track and cross country for six years and cricket for two years. He was also apart of different club soccer programs such as: Vaslpar FC,Ayr Boswell Kilmarnock, Maybole Juniors, Stranraer FC for 12 years. In 2015, Scott helped lead his Valspar FC team to a league championship. He was named Club Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016. In 2014 he was named SFA Performance School Player of the Year and Scotland Schoolboys International Player in 2018. He won second place at the cross country championship.
