Before Union
Jacobs transferred to Union from Salt Lake Community College, where he played two seasons of soccer. In his sophomore season, he scored a goal and contributed an assist to his team, which finished third in the nation.

Jacobs prepped at Franklin High School, where he played four years of varsity soccer. He helped his team to a state runners-up finish. Jacobs was selected as an all-district and all-state player and was a captain for three years.
