Before Union
Gomez prepped at Blackman High School where he played four years of soccer. He also played four years of club soccer for the Stone River team and one season with TSC. Gomez helped lead his high school team to the district title. He was named first-team all-district and second-team all-district during his career. At the center-back position, he recorded three goals his senior season.
