Before Union
Hamilton ran for the Tupelo Spartans for ten years. During high school, he was a two-time state champion and a nine-time conference champion. Hamilton is also a conference record holder, named a First Team All-American, and was a state runner-up. He posted personal best times of 16:21 (5K), 4:30 (mile), 2:00 (800m), and 9:58 (3200m).
