Before Union
Brock transferred to Union from Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College where he played two seasons of basketball. He helped lead his team to the region title in 2010-11. That season, his team participated in the NJCAA National Tournament and finished ranked No. 7 in the nation. He was named all-region and all-state in 2010-11, while being named a preseason All-American in 2011-12. Brock prepped at Ridgeway (Tenn.) High School where he played four seasons of basketball. He helped lead Ridgeway to the 2008 Tennessee Class 3A state title, while also helping his team to a No. 2 national ranking. He was named all-state, all-region, all-city, and Best Offensive Player in both 2009 and 2010. In 2010, he was also selected to the all-star team. As a senior, Brock averaged 24 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. He is the son of Kathey Ward Winfrey.
