Before Union 
Kallas prepped at Martin Luther High School where she played four years of basketball, three years of track and field, and two years of cross country. While in high school, Kallas was a two time high school conference champion, regional champion, sectionals champion, and came second in state in 2017. She was named basketball most improved in 2016 and was a two-time MVP the following two years. Off the court, she was part of National Honors Society for two years and was named on the honor roll all four years. After high school, Kallas attended Malone University where she played four years of basketball. She was named to the Great Midwest Academic All-Conference Team three times, played in 108 games, scored 910 points, recorded 477 rebounds, 134 assists, and 82 steals. Off the court, Kallas was named to the G-MAC All-Academic Team and the Dean's list four times each and was a member of the social work club.
