Dawson Yates joined the Union men's basketball coaching staff in August of 2016 as a graduate assistant. Yates comes to Union after graduating from Harding University in May 2016 with a degree in general studies/science. He will be working on a Master's of Art and Education degree during his time at Union.
Yates, a native of Valley Springs, Ark., played two years of basketball at Harding. As a senior, he played in 15 games while playing seven games as a junior. Prior to Harding, Yates played two years of basketball at North Arkansas College.Â
Yates is the son of Jim and Robyn Yates.Â
