Before Union
Sain prepped at Bolivar Central (Tenn.) High School where he played four years of golf and one season of baseball. Sain helped lead his golf team to district titles in 2012 and 2013, and a region title in 2013. He was named All-West Tennessee once and all-district twice during his career. Sain finished with six first place wins on the TGA Junior Tour. He finished second in the Humboldt TMAC Championship Tournament. Off the course, Sain was on the honor roll all four years of high school, was the secretary of the Beta Club, and editor of the yearbook staff.
