Before Union
Templeton prepped at Briarcrest Christian School where he played four years of golf and one season of basketball. Templeton helped lead his team to a state tournament runner-up finish twice, while winning three region titles, and finishing second in the region once. His teams won the TGA High School Invitational twice and the Ronnie Winzler Invitational Twice. Templeton was selected as Team Captain for his high school team, earned the Heart of the Saint Award from his high school, and was the USJGT Player of the Year in 2018-19. His older brother Cal also plays golf at Union University. Off the course, Templeton was on the honor roll all four years.
