Before Union
Aljancic prepped at Louisville High School, where he played four years of golf, two years of baseball, and two years of basketball. He led his baseball team to two sectional championships. Aljancic also won three championships in club baseball. He was named all-county in golf twice and named to both the Stark County All-Star and Northeast Ohio All-Star baseball games. He led his high school baseball team in home runs, RBI, and extra-base hits.

Off the field, Aljancic was a member of the National Honors Society and Key Club. He served as a student council representative and was once named the Stark County Teen of the Month.
