Before Union
Gray transferred to Union from Purdue University where she played two seasons of basketball. She played in 33-of-34 games as a sophomore, averaging eight minutes per game and scoring a career high five points versus St. Mary's. She played in 21 games as a freshman. Gray was awarded the Roger Blalock Memorial Outreach Award as a sophomore. Gray prepped at Stephenson High School where she was a four-year varsity letter winner. She was named all-region as a senior, averaging 17.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 2.5 assists per game. She is a member of the 1,000 point club, had her high school jersey retired, and was team captain for three seasons. She led her team to the Georgia 5A state title in 2015, scored 13 points in the championship game. Gray was an honorable mention for the 2015 Naismith Award.
