High prepped at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn. where he played four years of baseball and football. While in high school, High was awarded 2018 all-region in football, 2019 all-region in baseball, team captain in football, Williamson County First Team Tight End, and 2020 Perfect Game Preseason All-Southeast Region Team for baseball. Off the field, High was his senior class vice president and a member of the National Honors Society.
