Mark Campbell Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is birthed from and motivated by a love for God and His love for me. I recognize that He has always pursued a relationship with me, and He has loved me unconditionally. He has discipline me through circumstances and choices but he has also extended grace to me daily. My Faith, My Family and My Team are the things my life is focused on. I desire to love my players, teach my players, challenge my players, and encourage my players to be at their competitive best. Most of all, I desire that each one of my players are confident in who God has made them to be.

Being a coach is not transactional, it is being committed to my players best interest within a team concept. For me, fullness in any relationship comes from Communication and Trust. The Synergy that comes from great relationships between teammates and with coaches is our mission. This type of team seeks to give their best effort so that it benefits the group. This type of person possesses character!

Being detailed is our lifeline and I believe that we can be the best prepared team in every circumstance. We will give our best effort to develop and use the gifts and talents on every team to bring out the best in everyone else on the floor.

Ultimately, being a coach is an opportunity to serve, influence and impact young people so that they one day they will do the same. It is an opportunity as a leader to cast a vision individually and collectively, love unconditionally, hold them accountable and help them see that serving others is the best definition of success. This process itself is the purpose of coaching. Seeing my players from different backgrounds come together and love each other, give great physical, mental and relational effort is what I love about what I do!
