Before Union
Rider prepped at McKenzie High School where he played golf for four seasons, soccer for two seasons and football for one season. In 2014, he was named all-district, all-region and was ranked No. 1 in district. In 2011, he was No. 1 in the nation in Shooting Sports. Rider posted the lowest scoring average of any golfer at MHS. Off the course, Rider won first place at DECA State Competition twice, DECA Region winner, Union University Scholar of Excellence, Academic Letter three years, honor roll, all-state trap team, NRA All-American, Boys State Delegate, Beta Club treasurer and DECA vice president.
