Before Union
Williams transferred to Union from Mississippi State University where she played two seasons of basketball. She was named Most Improved Player in the 2012-13 season. As a freshman, she played in 16 games, getting 10 points and 16 rebounds that season. As a sophomore, she played in all 30 games for MSU with 25 starts. She averaged 25.5 minutes per game and finished third on the team with 8.3 points per game. She shot a team best 52 percent (102-195) from the field. Williams was second on the team as a junior with 4.9 rebounds per game. She reached double figures in points 10 times and scored at least 20 points three times. Williams prepped at White Station High School where she played baskeball, volleyball and ran track and field. She also played AAU basketball for Memphis Elite 16U, helping that team to a title in 2009. At White Station, she was named Best Defensive Player, all-start rebounder, and MLK Tournament MVP. She helped lead White Station to a district title in 2008. Off the court, Williams graduated top-25 of her class, member of the school's honors society and was a Class Counselor and Peer Mediator. At MSU, Williams was a Volunteer Leader and coordinator of the Black Student Alliance Program Honors Society.
