Before Union
Kesler prepped at Evangelical Christian School where he played soccer and basketball. He helped lead his high school soccer team to the state title in 2010, followed by a region and state title in 2011. As a junior, Kesler was named all-metro, all-region, region MVP and all-district. He added all-region, district MVP and all-region tournament. Kesler played goalie and defender. During his junior season between the posts, he allowed just four goals all season. Kesler played competitive soccer for the Tennessee Rush in 2010, leading the Rush to a state title. In 2011, he played for the Clarksville Kaos and helped secure a state runner-up finish. Off the field, Kesler was a member of the National Honors Society and was the junior class president. Kesler is the son of Dennis and Pattie Kesler.
