Biography

2013... medical redshirt season. 2014... started 38 games, appeared in a total of 44 games... .232 batting average with 35 hits, 16 runs scored and 16 RBIs... GSC Academic Honor Roll. 2015... senior season.

Before Union
Royer transferred to Union from Southern Utah University where he played two seasons of baseball. He was named to the 2012 Summit League All-Tournament team. Royer was hitting .643 as a freshman before a season ending injury. He then hit .316 as a sophomore. Royer prepped at San Juah (Utah) High School where he played basketball, baseball, golf, and participated in wrestling and track. In 2006, helped lead his baseball and football teams to the class 2A state title. He was named MVP of the 2006 football state championship game, while also being named football all-state and academic all-state. In 2007, he was named second team all-state in baseball. He was selected to play in the 2006 football all-star game and 2007 baseball all-star game. Off the field, Royer was on his high school honor roll, voted freshmen class treasurer and graduated with honors. He is the son of Bruce and Peggy Royer.
