Before Union
Bain prepped at Alcorn Central (Miss.) High School where he played six seasons of baseball. As a senior he hit .453 and was named his division's offensive player of the year, team MVP, Mississippi Fab 15 Seniors and all-state. He hit .520 as a junior, earning division player of the year honors, Mississippi Fab 15 Juniors and all-state. Over his career, Bain was named all-division five times and all-state twice. He hit .425 with 191 hits, 53 doubles, 23 home runs and 160 RBI in 145 career games played. His career numbers on the mound included an 11-11 record with 14 saves in 128.2 innings. Off the field, Bain ranked in the top 15% of his graduating class, was the 2012 Star Student, a Wendy's High School Heisman state finalist, student government vice president, FCA leader, Hall of Fame, Beta Club, Mississippi Scholar and was a Lindy Callahan Scholar Athlete nominee. He is the son of Dale and Debra Bain.
