Before Union
Altuntas prepped at Helmut Schmidt Gymnasium. He played for numerous club teams including FC Suderelbe Oberliga Hamburg, Niendorfer TSV A Juniors Bundesliga (2 years), SC Victoria A Juniors, B Juniors Bundesliga with Niendorfer TSV, B Juniors Regionalliga with Niendorfer TSV, C Juniors Oberliga Hamburg. From 2016-19, he played in the highest league in the country and in 2019-20 he played in the highest league in the city. In 2017-18, Altuntas was named Most Improved.
