Before Union
Burket prepped at White Bear Lake Area HS where she played two years of soccer and led her team to the State Section Semifinals both years. She earned All-Conference and honorable mention awards, as well as being named Defensive Player of the Year. She also played on premier teams for Twin Cities Fire SC for seven years. Off the field, Burket was named Academic All-Conference twice, and was awarded the Principal's Award and the President's Award and was on the A honor roll during all of high school. She was captain of the school math team as a junior and senior.
