Before Union
Howell prepped at Trinity Christian Academy where she played four years of basketball, two years of soccer, and four years of track. She also played two seasons with the Tennessee Pride West and one season with Team Tennessee Pride. Howell helped lead TCA to the region and state titles as a senior. She was named all-district three times, along with All-West Tennessee and All-State as a senior. She left TCA as a member of the 1,000-point club and her school's all-time assist leader. Off the court, Howell was the National Honors Society president and her class Salutatorian.
