Before Union
Pickens prepped at the University School of Jackson where she played five years of softball and one season of basketball. She helped lead her softball team to a state title in 2012. Her teams also had a state runner-up finish in 2013, two third place finishes and one fifth place finish. Pickens helped USJ to five district titles and five regional titles (2012-16). She was named all-region five times, all-district three times, All-West Tennessee honorable mention in 2013, all-academic in 2015, TSCA All-State in 2016 and Jackson Sun All-West Tennessee 2016. As a senior, Pickens hit .404 with 40 hits, 25 RBI, 15 doubles and 23 walks. Off the field, Pickens was a member of the National Honors Society, Social Studies, Art and Spanish Honors Society, vice president of senior class, vice president of junior class. secretary of sophomore class, Art Club, Honor Roll, Homecoming court, and Scholarship Award recipient. She earned certificates in CP Biology and American Government.

Born March 13...daughter of Chris and Cindy Pickens...majoring in pre-physical therapy/pre-med as she works toward a career in the medical field.
