Before Union
Schmitke transferred to Union from North Greenville University where she played two years of soccer. She was named the 2014 Rookie of the Year at North Greenville and was also on the Dean's List for two semesters. Schmitke prepped at Gaston Christian School where she played four years of soccer, as well as, six years of club soccer. She helped lead her team to the 2013 Metrolina Conference Title and also won the 2013 Kepner Cup (SGCSA). Schmitke was named second team all-state in Ohio in 2012, all-state in North Carolina in 2014 and was the 2012 Sandusky Bay Conference Player of the Year. Off the field, Schmitke was on the honor roll all four years.
