BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Gulf South Conference named their weekly award winners for week five of competition. Among those honors, Rebekah Jackson claimed GSC Player of the Week. Komang Ardana followed it up by claiming GSC Freshman of the Week.

This award encompasses contests from September 21-27.

Jackson capped off the week in style on senior day, collecting a brace of goals vs Valdosta State and claiming the top of the GSC in goals and points. She is currently averaging a goal per game. Early this week, she did the same thing, collecting two goals against UAH.

Jackson, a 4 year veteran from McMinnville, Tennessee continues to prove herself as one of the conference's most dangerous offensive threats.

Ardana, a frosh midfielder out of Auckland, New Zealand began to make her mark on the program this week. The young Lady Bulldogs found the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career. She added an assist to Jackson this weekend against Valdosta State.

Overall, a great 6 point weekend for the Lady Bulldogs. They will continue conference play this weekend at home against Lee University (10/3). Fans can enjoy free admission thanks to the generosity of FirstBank.
