BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Union University baseball team had three players honored in the release of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Baseball Postseason Awards.
Elijah Ramsey was named first team All-GSC as an outfielder, while
Grant Ross (first base) and
Dyllon Barrett (third base) were named to the GSC Gold Glove Team.Â
Ramsey, 6-foot-5 junior from Millington, Tennessee, led Union with a .341 batting average. He added 33 runs, 57 hits, 11 doubles, four home runs, and 35 RBI. He was 3-for-3 in stolen bases and walked 18 times. Ramsey was named the GSC Player of the Week once this season.Â
Ross, a 6-foot-2 senior from Collierville, Tennessee, was third on the team with a .328 averaged. Defensively, he committed just one error at first base in 345 total chances. He posted 327 putouts with 17 assists. Offensively he posted 42 runs, 59 hits, 17 doubles, seven home runs, 46 RBI, and 25 walks.Â
Barrett, a 6-foot-1 senior from Bel Air, Maryland, was second on the team with a .339 average. Defensively, he posted a .952 fielding percentage at the hot corner, committing just five errors in 104 chances. He had 31 putouts and 68 assists. Offensively, he added 35 runs, 41 hits, five doubles, 15 RBI, and 19 walks.Â
