CLINTON, Miss. – Union showed fight from first pitch to final at-bat over the weekend, producing 22 runs and 35 hits across three games at Frierson Field, highlighted by a nine-run outburst and a late rally attempt in the series finale.

In Friday's opener, Union's offense came alive early and often, collecting 19 hits in a 15-12 contest.

Dyllon Barrett and Elijah Ramsey each tallied three hits, while Grant Ross went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. The Bulldogs plated runs in five different innings, including a four-run ninth to trim the deficit and bring the tying run to the plate. Jordan Allen added three hits and two RBI as Union kept pressure on throughout.

Game two proved more difficult offensively, as Mississippi College claimed a 12-1 decision.

Caleb Davis paced Union with two hits, including a double, while Matthew Autry drove in the Bulldogs' lone run in the seventh. Corben Howard provided a steady relief outing, tossing four innings and allowing just one run to keep Union within reach late.

The Bulldogs responded with an explosive start in Saturday's finale, scoring six runs in the second inning on their way to a 9-10 battle.

Ramsey delivered the biggest swing of the weekend, launching a three-run home run as part of a five-RBI performance. Eli Gipson added three hits and scored three times, while Union built a 6-3 lead early and later rallied with three runs in the sixth to pull within one.

Across the series, Ramsey totaled seven hits and six RBI, while Gipson and Barrett consistently set the table at the top of the lineup. Despite the results, Union's offense continued to show depth and resilience, competing into the late innings each game.

The Bulldogs now turn their focus to the next stretch of conference play, carrying momentum from a weekend that showcased their ability to respond, reload, and battle until the final out.
