JACKSON, Tenn.- The Bulldogs took on the Flames of Lee University. Lee sat at third in the conference, Union sat at sixth.
Max Rode curved his shot right into upper 90, assisted by Simpson Moore.
Patrick Schott came up with a clutch save in the 21st minute off a quick reaction. Union was outshot by Lee 6 to 11.
Into the second half,
Christopher Cerda came off the bench looking to prove a point.
Lawson Harvey played a through ball into the freshman, who would hit a high shot off the cross bar, into the net for the equalizer. The momentum was flipped. Union outshot Lee 10 to 5 in the second half, and Union would settled for the tie.
Schott had another career high outing with 9 saves, leaving him at the top of GSC in saves per game (5.90 Avg/G).
The Bulldogs will return home on Wednesday (10/7) to face off against Trevecca Nazarene. Fans can enjoy free admission thanks to the generosity of FirstBank.
