NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Union men's basketball dropped an 80–63 decision on the road to Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday afternoon inside Trojan Fieldhouse.

Union showed early energy, opening the game with the first basket and briefly holding the lead, but Trevecca used a strong first half to build separation. The Trojans shot 46.2 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes and went 12-of-14 at the free-throw line to take a 42–25 advantage into halftime.

The Bulldogs responded with their best offensive stretch after the break, scoring 38 second-half points and shooting nearly 52 percent from the floor in the period. Union knocked down six three-pointers in the second half, including a quick run fueled by back-to-back triples from Devaki Garr that helped cut the deficit to single digits early in the half.

Garr led Union with 15 points, connecting on five three-pointers, while Will Lovings-Watts added 11 points and three rebounds. Terrence Ringo Jr. anchored the paint with a team-high 15 rebounds to go along with eight points and four blocks, controlling the glass and providing consistent interior defense throughout the contest.

Union held a 41–33 rebounding advantage and generated 15 fast-break points, but Trevecca's depth proved to be the difference, as the Trojans received 55 bench points and capitalized on turnovers to maintain control down the stretch.

The Bulldogs move to 7–10 overall and 3–8 in Gulf South Conference play and will look to bounce back as conference action continues next week at home.
