JACKSON, Tenn. - The Union University men's golf team sits in first place after day one of the University of Montevallo Invitational. The 8-team event is being played at the Timberline Golf Club in Calera, Alabama.
Trace Robinson is in first place following a first round 65 and a second round 69. The junior from Jackson is 8-under par heading into the final round, leading by nine shots.
Jackson Hughey is in the top-5 with a 73, 70 1-over for the first day.
Henry Ashley was in the top 10 after a 73 in the first round, but dropped a few spot with a 76 in round two.Â
Union shot a 283 in the first round and a 290 in the second round, leading by five shots over second place Delta State.Â
The final round will be played Tuesday.Â
