BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The GSC has announced Aaron Fynaardt as Runner of the Week for Week one. This award considered performance from September 4 to 7.

Fynaardt and the rest of Union Men's Cross Country ran their first race of the season this past weekend at the University of North Alabama Invitational. The 8k event featured 14 teams and 100 runners.

Fynaardt placed second overall with a time of 24:43, the second fastest in program history. His first showing of the season sets a strong tone for the year and positions him as a key contender in upcoming GSC competitions.

The Bulldogs will take to the course on September 20 at the Rhodes Invitational.
