NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Union University softball's
Morgan Jennings was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week on Apr. 30. This is her second time earning the award this season with her first coming on Mar. 18.
Jennings, a 5-foot-7 senior outfielder from Senatobia, Miss., started all 44 of the games she played this season, hitting .382 with an .885 OPS, and a .429 OBP. She also accumulated 28 runs scored, seven RBIs, nine walks, 16 stolen bases, and 52 total hits, including six doubles and two triples. In her last game as a Lady Bulldog, she was a homerun short of the cycle. Jennings ends her career second all-time in Union history in stolen bases with 75 and second all-time in stolen base attempts with 84.
