BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Union University's Gray Campbell has been named the Gulf South Conference Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.

Campbell posted a T-5th finish in Lincoln Memorial University's Tennessee River Rumble on Tuesday, carding 215 (-1) in the three-round event. The senior recorded the tournament low round to open play on Monday (66, -6) before finishing with sessions of 74 and 75. 

Campbell totaled a field-best 15 birdies–including seven in round one–and tied for first in par three scoring (2.92), 13th in par five average (4.67), and 23rd on par fours (4.13). The award is the second of Campbell's career (9/14/23) and Union's first since JJ Zimmer claimed the honor on March 28, 2024.

The Bulldogs will return to the course on Monday in the Trevecca Nazarene's Music City Invitational, the team's final event before the GSC Championships begin on April 17.
