SEARCY, Ark. - On Tuesday afternoon, the Union University softball team dropped a midweek doubleheader to No. 13 Harding University. The Bisons won game one 1-0 and game two 6-2. With the losses, Union is now 7-22 overall, while Harding improves to 27-3.
In game one, the Lady Bulldogs outhit the Bison 5-3. However, a wild pitch that allowed Macy Ham to score in the bottom of the fifth inning was the difference, giving Harding the only run of the game.
Rylee Moore pitched all six innings for Union, striking out five hitters and allowing one run, three hits, and three walks. She was also 3-3 at the plate.

Mallory Hildebrand accounted for Union's other two hits with one apiece.
In game two, Harding put up six runs on 10 hits.
Emily Claire Felder got the start for the Lady Bulldogs, throwing 5.1 innings and giving up five runs on nine hits and one walk, while striking out two hitters.
Riley Vaughn pitched 0.2 innings in relief, allowing one run, one hit, and two walks.
Union had only two hits in the game with Marler and Hildebrand collecting one each.
Up next, the Lady Bulldogs return home to face the University of West Florida in a three-game series. First pitch of game one is scheduled for Mar. 21 at 5:00 p.m. Games two and three will be played on Mar. 22 with game two starting at 1:00 p.m.
