JACKSON, Tenn. - Union's Brooklyn Verdugo finished the first round of the PGA WORKS Championship at TPC Sawgrass tied for second.

Verdugo shot a combined score of 73 (+1) in the first round at TPC Sawgrass, good enough for a share of second place with Eastern Kentucky University's Sadanun Sitanonth. Verdugo only trails Kaiyuree Moodley who shot even with a score of 72.
