Union softball ends season with tournament loss to Montevallo

OXFORD, Ala. - The Union University softball team lost 8-0 in five innings to the University of Montevallo in an elimination game in the 2023 Gulf South Conference Softball Championships. Union, seeded seventh, ended its season at 24-26, while Montevallo improved to 20-23 on the season. 
Union managed just one hit in the game, a single by Grace White in the fourth inning. Zoey Neal earned a walk for Union's only other baserunner. 
Emily Claire Felder tossed five innings in the loss, allow eight runs, five earned, with three strikeouts and two walks.
