#7 Lady Bulldogs eclipse 100 points for the third time in 109-86 win over Trevecca Nazarene University

JACKSON, Tenn. – The #7 Lady Bulldogs eclipse 100 points for the third time in a 109-86 win over Trevecca Nazarene University.
 
Union's record moves to 5-0 overall and the Trojans record falls to 2-3 overall.
 
First Period: #7 Union 24, Trevecca 19
 
Union's starting five consisted of Shanique Lucas, Courtney Zensen, Olivia Lee, Jazalyn Anousinh, and Macey Lee
 
The Lady Bulldogs got the scoring started right after tip-off with a Jazalyn Anousinh layup, then a three-pointer was drained by the junior transfer. Union went on a 17-4 run to start their second-ever matchup with the soon-to-be Trevecca Trojans. Within the first four minutes of action, the Bulldogs were six of nine from the field and a perfect four for four from beyond the arc. Anousinh led all Union scorers with seven points and also added two steals to her stat line. Lauren West was able to connect on two three-pointers to finish the period with six points of her own.
 
Second Period: #7 Union 52, Trevecca 43
 
To start the second period, Trevecca completed a 19-10 run to cut the Bulldog lead down to one point. With 7:17 left in the second period, the Trojan's Keeley Carter was able to take the lead for the first time for Trevecca on a lay-up to make the score 25-24. Courtney Zensen quickly took the lead back with a three-pointer, followed by lay-ups from Macy Lee and Shanique Lucas to stretch the Bulldogs lead back to five. Union was able to retain a double-digit lead with 4:47 left in the second quarter thanks to Lauren West's third three-ball of the evening. Jackson native Macey Lee was able to finish the period strong for the Lady Bulldogs following the completion of a three-point play and then another lay-up with just 45 seconds left in the period.

Third Period: #7 Union 81, Trevecca 65
 
Olivia Lee was fouled and able to convert both of her free throws to get the Lady Bulldog's scoring going to start the third period of action. Olivia then converted on a driving lay-up to push the Union lead back to nine points. Jazalyn Anousinh extended the Bulldog's lead late in the third period to 12 points on a lay-up. With 1:16 left on the clock, Shanique Lucas captured Union's largest lead of the afternoon (17) on a three-pointer.
 
Fourth Period: #7 Union 109, Trevecca 86 (Final)
 
Union cruised in the final ten minutes of play thanks to their steady offensive attack. Shanique Lucas was able to come away with a steal with six minutes left in the fourth period before passing it off to Macey Lee to convert on a driving lay-up. Macey Lee then was able to add on to her impressive night with a mid-range jumper. Union ended the matchup with a 13-2. Six Lady Bulldogs were able to get into double-digit scoring (Macey Lee, Shanique Lucas, Olivia Lee, Jazalyn Anousinh, Emma Kallas, Lauren West).
 
For the third time in the past four games, the Lady Bulldog's eclipsed over 100 points offensively.
