HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Union University men's cross-country team posted a seventh-place finish at the Gulf South Conference Championships with a time of 2:13:04.50. The event took place at John Hunt Park and featured 12 teams and 104 runners.

Bailey Bell was proud of the team for their efforts.
"The men battled hard today," Bell said. "Our guys left it all out there on the course. Although it was not the placement we were going for, I couldn't be more proud of my men. They battled hard from the gun and never backed down or gave in. Our conference has become incredibly competitive. We will continue to work hard and raise our level."

Bell expressed appreciation for the two seniors on the team.
"I want to give a special thanks to Steven Hirte and Micah Winn who raced in their final GSC championship," Bell said. "They have grown into incredible runners and young men who follow Jesus. We would not be who we are without them."
Up next for the Bulldogs is the NCAA D2 South Region Championships on Nov. 4
th in Montevallo, Ala., at the UM Campus Cross Country Course.
