Union Volleyball drops match to Montevallo in five sets

JACKSON, Tenn.—On Oct. 13th, the Union University volleyball team lost a heartbreaker to the University of Montevallo 3-2 (22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 16-25, 11-15). Union's record drops to 3-17 overall (2-6 GSC) while Montevallo improves to 7-12 overall (5-4 GSC).

Vanja Stefanovic had the most kills for Union with 13, and Jordan Moore had the most blocks with nine. Sydney Whittaker collected 12 kills and seven blocks, while Hope Harrington had 11 kills and four blocks. Davey Slaughter led with 20 digs and had an ace. Gracie Tacker had an ace of her own and also led in assists with 26.

Next up for Union is a road matchup against the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Oct. 14th at 2:00 p.m.
