JACKSON, Tenn. - Two early week home basketball games get Union athletics started this week. The women's team will step outside of conference play for the first time this regular season with a hame game Monday versus Trevecca Nazarene. The men's team will also host a non-conference game Tuesday versus North Georgia. The will will conclude with both teams traveling to Memphis Friday night to face Gulf South Conference foe, Christian Brothers.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL will host Trevecca Nazarene University Monday night, November 28 at 6 p.m. This will be the 43rd meeting for the women's team versus Trevecca Nazarene, however, the first since both teams became NCAA members in 2012. Union and Trevecca Nazarene were old NAIA foes and were members of the same conference for years in the TranSouth, TSAC, and VSAC leagues. 

Union is 3-0 on the season, all GSC wins. Trevecca is 3-2 with two wins over GSC schools (UAH, Lee). 

The Lady Bulldogs will then travel to GSC foe Christian Brothers University for the first road match of the year. The game is schedule for 5 p.m. in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Union is forcing 24 turnovers per game this year and is scoring an average of 32 points off those turnovers. Leah Cauble (12 ppg) and Shanique Lucas (11 ppg) are leading Union in scoring. Union has had seven different players hit at least one three pointer this year, led by Cauble and Lauren West with seven each. Union is averaging 11 made three pointers per game. 

MEN'S BASKETBALL hosts North Georgia Tuesday night, November 29 at 6 p.m. in the final non-conference regular season game of the year for the Bulldogs. All remaining games (19 games) will be against GSC foes. Union will also travel to Memphis, Tennessee to face GSC opponent Christian Brothers Friday night at 7 p.m.

Union is 3-3 on the season and 2-1 in the GSC. The Bulldogs are trying to stop a 2-game skid. 

The Bulldogs have five guys averaging eight or more points per game this season including three in double figures. Tylandrius Parks is at 19.2 point per game, while Boe Nguidjol is at 14.0 and Jeremiah Littlepage is at 10.2 ppg. Nguidjol is just shy of averaging a double-double with 9.5 rebounds per game.
