MEN'S BASKETBALL will play a non-conference game Tuesday, November 22 at 6 p.m. versus McKendree University. The men will then play the second game of a double-header, Saturday, November 26 at 4 p.m. versus the University of West Georgia.
Union has won three straight games after opening the year with a road loss. The Bulldogs are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Gulf South Conference. Through four games, Union has four players averaging double figures in points, including Ty Parks (19.7), Boe Nguidjol (16.0), Jalen Johnson (10.8), and Jeremiah Littlepage (10.5). Nguidjol is just shy of a double-double average with a team-high 9.8 rebounds per game. Nguidjol was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts last week in helping Union start the GSC season 2-0.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL has one game this Thanksgiving Week, a home GSC contest, Saturday, November 26 at 2 p.m.
Union is 2-0 on the season, both games were Gulf South Conference contests. Union has a 40.5 scoring differential through two games and are forcing 22.5 turnovers per game. Union has scored 66 points off turnovers through two games. Leah Cauble is leading Union in scoring at 13.5 points per game and has made a team high six 3-pointers. Shanique Lucas and Ally Winnen are both at 11.0 points per game.
