CARROLLTON, Ga. - The Union University baseball team split a double header Sunday afternoon on the road at the University of West Georgia. The Bulldogs efforts' fell short in game one with a final score of 8-6, however the second game proved different with Union victorious by a score of 10-5. With the split, the Bulldogs improved to 11-18 overall, and 9-17 in the Gulf South Conference. The University of West Georgia improved to 13-16 overall, and 12-14 in GSC play.

In game one, the Wolves struck first, scoring two runs in the first inning, however the Bulldogs were able to answer in the second tying the game at 2-2. In the third the Bulldogs took the lead thanks to an
Austin Zeitler single that scored
Josh Bozoian. Following that,
Patrick Music came up big with an RBI single of his own, putting the Bulldogs on top 4-2. The Wolves were able to answer and take the lead to the end of game one with a final score of 8-6.
Austin Zeitler lead the Bulldogs with a single, and a double, going 2-2 scoring three runs himself, with two RBI's.
Patrick Music went 2-3 with one RBI.
Josh Bozoian went 3-5 scoring three runs. On the bump,
Walker Adkisson threw six complete innings, without a decision, allowing six earned runs on nine hits with four strikeouts.
Stuart Edge received the loss with 0.2 innings pitched with two earned runs.

In game two the first four innings was a pitcher's duel, with the first run of the game not coming until the top of the fifth thanks to a single by
Cooper Bullough scoring
Austin Zeitler. Zeitler would score the next two runs in the next inning courtesy of the long ball with a two run shot to left field. The Wolves would take the lead however at 5-4 as late as the bottom of the seventh, but not before the Bulldogs were able to climb back in the driver seat and take this game all the way to a 10-5 victory to split the series. The Bulldogs were led by
Trey Frierson with three RBI's going 1-5 scoring one run.
Austin Zeitler had two RBI's going 1-3 and scoring three runs.
Cooper Bullough stepped up with two RBI's going 2-4 with one run scored.
Josh Bozoian went 2-5 scoring two runs with one RBI, and
Dorian Berry had one RBI and scoring one run of his own.
