Box Score CLINTON, Miss. - The Union University women's soccer team lost 2-0 to Mississippi College Sunday afternoon. Union fell to 0-2 in the 2021 GSC Spring Championship Series while Mississippi College improved to 3-0 in league play. 

Mississippi College's first goal came in the 22nd minute when Erin Hederman was able to turn on a defender and score from the top of the 18-yard box. Hederman scored again in the 37th minute on a through ball from Dani Avelar. Mississippi College led 2-0 at the half. The Lady Choctaws controlled the second half but were only able to get two shots on goal. 

Union's only shot came from Claire Maxon. Rylee Iorio got the start in goal for the Lady Bulldogs and had three saves in the first half, while Anna Venckus had one save in the second half. Mississippi College out shot Union 25-1 in the match, including 7-1 in shots on goal. 

Up next for Union is a home GSC match against Delta State, Friday, March 6 at 6 p.m.
