Record setting Union women prepare for NCAA D2 Semifinals

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Union University women's basketball team will be playing in the NCAA D2 Final Four Wednesday, March 21 at 6:00 p.m. central time versus 6-seeded Central Missouri at the Sanford Pentagon. The is the first appearance for Union in the national semifinals since becoming active members of the NCAA in 2014-15. 

Union is 32-3 on the season, setting a program record for most wins as a member of NCAA D2. It is the most wins for Union since winning 35 games in 2011-12, their final year of the NAIA. 

Union, the seventh-seed, is coming off a 73-70 win over second-seeded Carson-Newman Monday night in the Elite Eight. Union was the first South Region women's team to win a game at the Elite Eight since Nova Southeastern in 2014. It the the first win for a GSC team in the Elite Eight since Delta State in 2009. 

Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. central time and will be carried locally on radio on 93.1 FM or online at www.uuathletics.com/live. The game will also be carried on live TV on the CBS Sports Network (see list of channels below). As a reminder, you must have a cable, satellite, etc. subscription to watch the game on TV/Internet. There is NO FREE internet video of the game. There will be a Lady Bulldog Basketball Watch Party at 6 p.m. in the Fred DeLay Gymnasium on the campus of Union.
