Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Union University women's soccer team defeated the University of Alabama at Huntsville 2-0 Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-8 overall and 4-7 in the Gulf South Conference. The Lady Chargers are now 6-8 overall and 4-7 in conference.
The Lady Bulldogs controlled the first half as
Alli Herring scored the first goal of the game in the 27th minute.
Hannah Hewett scored the second goal for Union, assisted by
Madison Wirth, in the 42nd minute of play.
Union kept the lead as neither team scored in the second half of the game.
Union out shot UAH 20-6.
Kristen Francis had one save for Union and UAH's Megan Buford recorded five.
Up next for Union is senior night against Valdosta State Friday, October 20 at 5 p.m.
