JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University women's soccer team posted a 1-0 win over the University of Alabama in Huntsville Friday night at Smith Soccer Complex. It was the first win for Union women's soccer versus Alabama Huntsville in the history of the series (1-6).

WHAT HAPPENED
- The first half was scoreless with Union out shooting Alabama Huntsville 13-7.
- UAH goalie, Breaux, recorded seven saves, while Union keeper, Kristen Francis, had six saves in the first 45 minutes.
- Union scored first when Kelsey Wilkes tapped in a rebound from a saved shot by Kayleigh Patterson in the 48th minute. The goal gave Union their first every lead versus Alabama Huntsville in the seven-match history between the schools.
- With just under 11 minutes left in the match, Union was awarded a PK. Sarah Herschbain's attempted was saved by Breauz (UAH).
- Union outshout UAH 17-2 in the second half, finishing with 30 total shots in the match.
- Breaux finished 14 saves, while Union's Francis finished with six saves.
- Today's win for Union over UAH was the first win for Union in the all-time series with the Chargers, which now stands at 1-6.
