VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Union University women's soccer team tied Valdosta State University 2-2 Friday for their second consecutive double overtime tie match.

WHAT HAPPENED
- Valdosta State got the scoring going first with a goal in the 20th minute. Kristen Francis managed to get a touch on the ball, but the Blazer's Ava Scott-Moncrief managed to put enough on the ball to get it by Francis for her first goal of the season.
- VSU pulled ahead in the second half with a goal from Suvi Savolainen in the 48th minute. Her shot went off the top of the cross-bar, but managed to scoot in to give Valdosta the lead 2-0.
- Reigning GSC Player of the Week, Kelsey Wilkes, got Union on the board with her fourth goal of the season in the 71st minute.
- With 9:06 left on the clock in the second half, Shelby High netted her second goal on the season into the high right side of the net to come back and tie Valdosta State 2-2.
- High's late goal pushed the match into double overtime, and neither team managed to score to set the final 2-2

- This is Union second consecutive double overtime tie with the game-tying goals coming in the 80th minute or later.
