Before Union
Whittaker prepped at Fredericksburg Christian where she played volleyball and softball each year. Whittaker played five years of club volleyball and six years of travel softball. She was a two-time conference champion, two-time regular season champion, and a state tournament runner-up. Whittaker was awarded with the Conference Player of the Year in volleyball and softball, was a three-time First-Team All-State player, USMC Female Athlete of the Year, and was Captain for both volleyball and softball for three years. Whittaker recorded 800 kills, 450 digs, and 150 aces throughout this time. Off the court, Whittaker was a member of National Honor Society, and National High School Scholars. She received awards such as the Lowell Thomas Christian Character Award and the Distinguished Student Athlete Award.
